The Six Heavenly Names Allah Gave to Each Human Being

from the `Urs of Shah Naqshband

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

8 November 2014 New Jersey

Suhbah at Private Residence (1)

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem, was-salatu was-saalaam `ala ashrafil-mursaleen…

Alhamdulillah that Allah has honored us with awliya, pious, sincere people, where some people are not honored like we are honored. Why? It is Allah’s Will. I am not saying that the others are not compensated or rewarded, but we are honored by a great saint whose reputation filled the Earth and after him the Tariqat was called the Tariqat an-Naqshbandiyya al-`Aliyya and we consider him the Ghawth of the Naqshbandiyya, the Ghawth of his time and after his time, like Sayyidina `Abdul-Qadir al-Jilani (q).

In every time Allah (swt) sends another Ghawth; one passes away and another takes his place. As we know, Monday 3 November was 10 Muharram according to some calendars and it was Tuesday, 4 November according to some calendars. Whenever it is, the Urs of Sayyidina Shah Naqshband (q) is 14 Muharram and whenever it is, we observed it yesterday at the home of two of Mawlana Shaykh’s best students, Dr. Tasneem and Dr. Qaiser Shameem.

The Secrets Opened by Shah Naqshband with His `Urs

I don’t think we have ever observed the `Ashoora in her house, but there was a tajalli, Heavenly Manifestation, that was great and I wanted `Ali to continue his qaseedah, but his vocal voice was getting tired, which is correct. When that tajalli was coming down it was dressing everyone who was present and those who say they are Naqshbandi, wherever they are, have been dressed with that Manifestation! That is a general manifestation for those who call their names after Sayyidina Shah Naqshband (q), and it is not the name that makes the person but it is what Allah has granted that person that makes the person. You can call any person whatever you like of titles, but it doesn’t mean anything if Allah doesn’t call him or her by that name.

The Seven Names Given Every Person

That is why to every person Allah gave seven names: one name in dunya that he will run through his life with, and six names in Heaven that he will be known by if he is a mu’min, or even if he is not a mu’min, an unbeliever. And now they are opening one inspiration, one reality that they never opened before, I never heard it and never my heart received it, but now it is getting it because of the barakah of Sayyidina Shah Naqshband (q) and the barakah of our shuyookh, Sayyidi Shaykh `AbdAllah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q) and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil (q), which is: the name we live with in our life in dunya, where we face a lot of obstacles, because we have a lot of problems. Sometimes we are up and sometimes down, sometimes we cry and sometimes we laugh, it depends on what that name carries for that person. If you are Yusuf and he is Yusuf, you will see a different life to his life; you will have a life that suits that name according to your personality and he will live a life suitable to his name and personality, but with the six remaining names you will be living a heavenly life, different than the life you are living in dunya, according to the name given to you.

Names Given by Our Parents Carry Mixed Energy

The name given to you in dunya is given by your parents and they have their own difficulties, and when they gave you that name it was blended together by their negativity and their piety. So you will be affected by what they are dressed of positivity and negativity, it will be dressed on yo and that is why you see your life go up and down; sometimes it is good and sometimes you have problems until you die.

There is no exception in that; whatever you have been given of a name in dunya, that name has its own characteristics of good and bad. The name is good, but you are blended by what your parents have of positivity and negativity; you are still a Muslim or a mu’min, but one day is up and one day is down. The other six names, each one has its own life and whatever lifetime you are given in dunya you will live under that name in this life, whatever length, of 70 years, 80 years, one year, teenager, whatever you are on you will reflect that name with all its blueprints. Everyone has a blueprint and there are heavenly blueprints. And the six names, every name that you are carrying, no one knows them except Allah (swt) and whoever Allah has given that reality to see what cannot be seen, as Prophet (s) said in the hadith:

The Prophet (s) said, “Allah said, ‘I have prepared for My pious worshippers such things as no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and has never come to the heart of man. All that is reserved beside which all that you have seen is nothing.” Then he recited, ‘No soul knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.’“ (32.17) (Narrated Abu Hurayrah, Bukhari)

Your Heavenly Names and Their Corresponding Levels in Heavens

They can give you your heavenly name and if they mention it to you in this life that is a big ni`mat, if they trust you, because that is a big trust as it can move mountains. Every name of Paradise has a tajalli, manifestation different from every other name, they don’t resemble each other; you see them as twins, but they have different characteristics. People say there is no praying in Heavens and that is not correct; in Heaven you are entitled to all pleasures, that is correct, but angels are praying. Every breath in Heaven is prayer, you become eternal. Dunya is not eternal. In Heavens you reach Eternal Life.

To Be with Hoor al-`Ayn is not Awliya’s Goal

So every moment of your life in Heaven…what is the meaning of pleasure? People say ‘Hoor al-`Ayn’, but for awliya that is not their mubtaghaa, goal, their goal in Heavens is Allah (swt) and His Prophet (s). Allah gave Hoor al-`Ayn to mu’mins and gave them a life that cannot be seen in dunya and cannot be described, so it was described as ‘Hoor al-`Ayn’ only to give an understanding, because on Earth people are after a nice life. But the meaning of ‘Hoor al-`Ayn,’ while the physical one is there, but in the spiritual meaning the real goal is Allah and His Prophet (s), not ‘Hoor al-`Ayn.’ Mawlana (q) said something that I can say, but don’t take the wrong meaning: when awliyaullah know the reality of Heavens and the reality of the difference between dunya and Akhirah, they feel the Hoor al-`Ayn is like spitting from the mouth, that is not giving them real pleasure. The real pleasure is to see Allah (swt), because He can be seen in Paradise!

So what do you prefer, Hoor al-`Ayn or Ru’yatullah, to see Allah (swt) in Paradise? Then what happens to Hoor al-`Ayn? If you get one look at Allah (swt) in Paradise, then the whole of Heavens does not mean anything to you! What matters to you is to be with that look and that vision you saw in Paradise, and you ask for more, not less, to see more, to zoom in to get more depth. You want to ‘zoom in’ as you zoom in the skies on Google Maps and you can see more and more stars; at the beginning you see some stars, but as you zoom in you see more and more stars. In Paradise when you zoom in it never ends! When the Light of Allah appears, that is the Light of the Beautiful Names and Attributes as Allah doesn’t show a form of Himself and what He shows we can only express what awliya said to us.

Every Name Has Its Own Level in Paradise

When Prophet (s) reached the Station of Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa, he was sucked into that Presence of Allah (swt) like a vacuum cleaner, in a moment in that Presence of Allah (swt) and still taking him where he is supposed to be in his life. And now, in the future and in the Next Life, he is always in that Ascension, always going, and there is no direction. That is the greatness of Heavens: there is no direction! That means you will be there in the same time with no direction, which means you will be everywhere at the same time with no direction and no time, approaching and approaching.

So these six names are six levels and every level has its own Paradises, not one Paradise; it has its own Paradises and in these Paradises those who are being dressed through these six different names, from one to another, will be dressed with that and they are zoomed in, sucked in to a higher level, higher level, higher level. These six names…in dunya you have one name and many people might carry the same name, but in Akhirah you have six names and no one shares with you the same name. Everyone is called by the name and if you are called by that name there is no repetition, and it is a different name in each of the six levels that no one understands! Only who is carrying the key for that level, that is your name in that level.

You will see people in that level with different names, but with the same tajalli coming on them. And the greatness of Allah (swt) is that when He gives you a name, it is not repeated. Count, how many are going to enter Paradise? We don’t know how many, but it is Allah’s Creation. Let us say in dunya there are 1.5 billion, if someone is called ‘Yusuf ‘ you find one million Yusufs. In Paradise there is one Yusuf, one `Ali, one this name and that name, and no one can be called ‘Muhammad, nor ‘Ahmad’ or ‘Mahmoud’, they are only for Prophet (s)! There are hundreds of names for Prophet (s) and there will open more and more in Paradise.

The Muhammadiyoon

We can be called ‘Muhammadiyoon’, but not ‘Muhammad’, there is only one. Muhammadiyoon are a group of people who are under the manifestation that is coming on Prophet (s). For the Sun you see an infinite number of rays; also from the Prophet (s) there are an infinite number of rays dressed on those who are in that particular Paradise and if you go to another Paradise there is still Muhammad (s), that name no one can carry except one in that Paradise. That is a loaded Paradise, where the Sun (s) sends infinite rays on his Ummah, and similarly, for the third, fourth, and fifth name. The sixth name is one, ‘Ghawth’, as only one in each century can carry that name and when he leaves dunya another one comes, but in Akhirah you will see many of them in every level in Heaven, all manifesting with different rays. All of them kullun min rasoolullah multamisan, are taking from Prophet (s) and there are none taking from any other route. All prophets and all nations take from Prophet (s).

Every level in Paradise carries these rainbows of the Beautiful Names and Attributes that will shed the light on that Heaven. And there maa laa `aynun ra’at, “what never an eye has imagined”, wa laa udhunun sami`at, “and no ear heard”, and this is the first time this is coming, wa laakhatar `ala qalbi bashar, “and never came to the heart of a human being”.

The Higher Levels of Heavens

The Sixth Level is where Allah (swt) manifests to people on every level, but on the sixth there is no permission to speak or else our Aqeedah will shake, so you cannot speak there! Allah (swt) knows best and Prophet (s) knows best what Allah gives to Ummat an-Nabi, (s), and that is exclusively for Ummat an-Nabi (s) and no other nation. Those for whom Prophet (s) has interceded can see what Allah granted them on the Sixth Level of Paradise. And all these six are not equal, whatever you find on different levels of Paradise, and what you think of Hoor al-`Ayn or Wildaanun Mukhaladoon, young boys with no beards serving women, so from both sides (to men and to women) Allah gave something; but all of that becomes nothing above the Sixth Level, which is the level of Prophet (s), Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adna. That is the level to which Allah brought the Prophet (s) 1400 years ago physically and spiritually in Ascension above all Heavens and asking Allah (swt) to dress his Ummah. So whatever Prophet (s) is asking at Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adna is being dressed on them in dunya according to their dunya name, and whatever names they have in Akhirah are being dressed on them in Akhirah.

Above that is Ghayb an-Mutlaq, “Absolute Unseen”, what no one can know. Qul Huwa: ‘Huwa’ is ghayb, He cannot be seen, cannot be known. No one can know or understand His Essence. Prophet (s) can understand whatever Allah opened to him at that level and he gives to the Ummah, but what Allah gives is making Prophet (s) astonished. Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adna is something we read like a storyteller from Surat al-Najm, but in reality it is heavily loaded and carries the secrets of the six names and the seventh dunya name of the whole Ummah and what is dressed on them!

What Happens to Unbelievers and How Jealousy is Managed

The unbelievers also have six names, but their six names are in Hellfire; they are going to be punished because they have not accepted Tawheed. But a person you might think is an unbeliever in Allah’s Eyes is not, and Allah knows, we don’t judge. Their six names are in the Hellfire, as Allah wishes, we don’t interfere. In that time it will open to you not to look at someone else. In dunya we look at everyone and try to backbite, but not there, as there are no mistakes, what Allah wanted happened: Allah sent them messengers, they didn’t like them and they refused and rejected them. So they are responsible, but we cannot judge them, Allah will. Yes, they will be punished, but we don’t know the meaning of that and neither do we want to know, because it is not our business.

That is why Grandshaykh (q) says Ummat an-Nabi will enter Paradise first so no one can know where they went or else there will be hasad there. Even between mu’min you will not see, so that there is no hasad, people thinking, “Why he went to that level and I did not go to that level?” And so you will only be entering on your own into that pleasure of Allah’s Presence, not looking to the right or to the left, looking only to the Sun, which is Prophet’s (s) symbol radiating his rays.

The Greatness of Prophet Will Captivate Everyone

There you will be living a life that is constantly increasing in pleasure and beauty, and where are Hoor al-`Ayn at that time? Awliya say that if one Hoor al-`Ayn would show one pinky finger to dunya, the whole dunya would faint and no one would be living in happiness, only running after the beauty of that finger. In Heaven, you will not look at that Hoor al-`Ayn but will look at Prophet (s) and manifestations that he is sending to his Ummah and that is what’s important, never looking to one side or the other! That is the greatness of Allah (swt) that has already been granted to the Prophet (s) in the verse:

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ

Alam nashrah laka sadrak.

Have We not expanded for you your breast? (Surat ash-Sharh, 94:1)

In those three words, “We have expanded your chest, yaa Muhammad,” that is enough and is coming from that ayah. What do you think will come to the hearts of awliyaullah? If that is opening for us here, what will open to awliyaullah? What about the Ghawth, what is he carrying? What are the Qutub, Qutb al-Aqtaab, Qutb al-Irshad, Qutb al-Bilad and Qutb al-Mutassarif carrying? No one can deny these five qutubs, one goes and one comes. So you will be lucky if you are given one name from your six names and you will be lucky if you follow one of these shuyookh who carry these merged secrets from Sayyidina Abu Bakr (r) and Sayyidina `Ali (r)! These shaykhs are filling the world. There are 124,000 awliya and you meet one or two, you meet ten: you cannot deny their presence! “Above every knower there is a higher knower,” and a higher one and higher one; these are Allah’s Words and His Words never end:

وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ

Wa fawqa kulli dhi `ilmin `aleem.

Above every knower is a (higher) knower. (Surah Yusuf, 12:76)

These knowers are there, higher and higher, and they never end. Some die and one generation to another they are coming up to Judgement Day.

The Power of Imam Mahdi, the Holder of the Secret of Qur’an

If this makes you astonished–me and you–about what just came now from Mawlana Shaykh (q), what do you think then of Mahdi (a), what knowledge will come with him? He is called by awliyaullah, “Holder of the Secret of Qur’an.” Prophet (s) will be continuously supporting him and continuously connecting him and sending to him knowledge from Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adna, and he will be continually pouring that into the hearts of Believers.

Some Unbelievers Will Become Believers and Weapons Will Melt

And don’t worry about unbelievers at that time, Grandshaykh (q) said when Mahdi (a) says, “Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!” then all war stops and Shaytan is still there, but he is running from Mahdi (a). At that time all weapons will melt, huge tanks and guns and all weapons when he says, “Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!” You know the atom that even when scientists use a huge microscope they still cannot see it? Forget the atom, but consider the electron, the neutron, one is negative and one is positive. All this will stop! That means anything, even smaller than an atom, that is used for fighting will stop. So at that time, if unbelievers, have that smallest particle which is smaller than an electron, which are known as ‘quarks’, if in their heart there exists faith as large as a quark they will enter Paradise! It means faith in Allah, because at that takbeer their faith will emerge and they will say, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah.” That will waive whatever came before:

الإسلام يجب ما قبله

Al-islamu yajib maa qablahu.

Islam waives what came before.

All of their sins will be erased, they will become believers and they will find themselves with Mahdi (a)! And Grandshaykh `AbdAllah (q) said that at that time too many will enter Islam and if anyone has a quark of imaan in their heart, when Mahdi (a) makes takbeer that will immediately enter their heart, that faith will dress them and they will accept Islam, saying, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah.” So they will find themselves immediately with Mahdi (a).

At this time some unbelievers will remain who follow and support devils and they will not become Believers and they will need to be eliminated. But how will they be eliminated? All the weapons will be gone. At that time, you will have in your hand a light and you will move your hand up to the horizon and they will fall down. You are not going to fight them one by one, by throwing one bomb here and there, no, that is finished! As soon as you move your hand to the right, whoever is on your right up to the horizon will fall down, and on their neck you will see only a trace of black (a sign). Grandshaykh `AbdAllah (q) said more that I cannot say. And he said there will be a lot of non-Muslims entering Islam, because Allah (swt) reveals to them truth when Mahdi (a) is there and they will see the power. So all the light rays coming from the Sun, the Prophet (s), will shine on Mahdi (a) very strongly, and he, like a transformer, will reduce their brilliance. He cannot send on you everything or you will be dissolved, as Musa (a) when Allah manifested His Tajalli on the mountain and Musa (a) fell down, fainted.

And so Mahdi (a) will give by the capacity of the person, he is not going to give everyone one-by-one. When he says, “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,” then the heart of the Believer will be filled to capacity with imaan as it is partly filled now, but then it will be filled to capacity. Then you will see what cannot be seen and you will know secrets and understand the reality of awliyaullah and the reality of mu’mins and at that time you will understand the reality of Islam. You cannot understand the reality of Islam until you have perfect imaan!

That is why when Jibreel (a) asked Prophet (s) about Islam, Imaan, Ihsaan, the secrets came out. The level of imaan makes you understand why we are praying. What are the secrets of praying? What is the reality of fasting? What are the secrets of Tawheed? We say it on our tongues and teach our children, but it is not complete, not perfect. Why do we have to say Kalimat at-Tawheed? When you say it, what is it’s reality? And when you say Kalimat at-Tawheed you have to see it, but without imaan, we cannot see. Do we see right now? No! It is an ocean of knowledge that we should dive in. Now we recite it in Tashahhud and we are half sleeping. And Iqaamu ‘s-Salaat, what is the secret of that? Many scholars wrote about it, but not the essence of it as mentioned in the hadith:

My servant does not cease to approach Me through voluntary worship until I will love him. When I love him, I will become the ears with which he hears, the eyes with which he sees, the hand with which he acts, and the legs with which he walks (and other versions include, “and the tongue with which he speaks.”). (Hadith Qudsi, Bukhari)

At that time, when Allah loves us He gives us a special ability to hear what others cannot hear and you will be able to hear everyone without overlapping the other. You can hear like that, you can see like that, and you can walk like that: kuntu sama`uhulladhee yasma`u bihi wa basarahulladhee yubsiru bihi, wa yadahulladhee yabtishu bihaa wa rijlahullatee yamshee bihaa.

And that hadith in another riwaya: “Until he says to something ‘Be!’ and it will be.” Grandshaykh (q) is always reminding us what a Holy Hadith says. Allah (swt) will say, Yaa `abdee ati`anee ija`aluka rabbaniyyoon. “O My servant, obey Me, for when you do so I will make you Lordly,” which means after you obey Allah, when you say to something, “Be!” it will be (exist)! At that time, when Mahdi (a) sends you will understand the reality. And that is for general people.

There are some awliya that understand the reality of Tawheed. When you say, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha ill-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasooluh,” you bear witness. That is first, but how do you bear witness if you don’t see? That is the first declaration of the Five Pillars. What is the First Pillar? Shahadah. What is first word of Shahada? Ash-had. But if you are not seeing then your ash-had is not perfect. “Ash-had” means you are witnessing the Oneness of Allah (swt). At that time you will see the reality of Tawheed, you see the reality of prayers, you see the reality of zakaat, you see the reality of fasting, you see the reality of Hajj, or else our faith is not perfect. I don’t know the percentage of that, but it might be zero.

When Mahdi (a) comes, these knowledges will be open, then when you read the Holy Qu’ran, its secrets will appear. These are Allah’s Words! You read these secrets of the Qu’ran and you will be dumped in the Light of those realities, where you will see visions you never saw before, like when you go diving in an ocean you see all kinds of different colors! You say the beauty of Earth is nothing compared to the ocean, with huge whales, like big buildings, diving and swimming and the smallest fish swimming on its back. Allah will open to you through your six names: first your dunya name will open and then He will open to you the six names of Akhirah.

That `urs of that great wali, Sayyidina Shah Naqshband (q), is 14 Muharram which we observed last night and that subhat is coming from him. [You are Ghawth Allah!] That one is crazy.

The Miracle of Shah Naqshband

When Shah Naqshband (q) was leaving dunya, he was on a bed raised a little bit from the floor and he was sweating. His close and strongest mureeds were there, and he was falling on his chest and crawling on the floor, saying, “Ya `Afoow, Ya `Afoow, Astaghfirullah wa atoobu ilayh, astaghfirullah wa atoobu ilayh,” and his beard was on the floor. They carried him back to his bed and he fell again and said, “Ya `Afoow, Ya `Afoow, Astaghfirullah wa atoobu ilayh, astaghfirullah wa atoobu ilayh,” why?

Because one time there was a drought and the people came to him and said, “O Shah Naqshband, we need your help and prayers. Children are starving.”

He said, “Is there anyone who has any grain?”

They found one rich person who had some small amount of grain and brought it. You know in that time, and still in some countries, they used a mill to grind the grain or corn, and so he went to the mill and put the handful of grain in it and removed the bridle of one ox, put it on himself and began to walk around the mill, and the flour began pouring out of the mill non-stop. He continued from morning to Maghrib, stopping only to pray.

He told the people, “Fill your bags with the grain.”

They said, “This is a miracle of Shah Naqshband!”

So when he was dying, falling from the bed to the floor, he heard a Heavenly Voice saying, “O Shah Naqshband, why did you put your will before My Will for that drought? Who gave you permission? You don’t know My Wisdom.”

When awliya want to do something they must ask permission from the Prophet (s) and if he gives permission they may do something, as then the Prophet (s) is responsible. Shah Naqshband (q) was in a hurry and so did not ask for permission and he directly helped those people. For that reason he was falling from his bed to the floor, repenting for that action.

Look at how much awliyaullah are judged! “Why are you interfering? I didn’t give you the power to interfere without my permission.” So wilayah is a two-sided sword: you have to be very firm on Fiqh, Shari`ah , and very firm on Tasawwuf. But unfortunately, today Tasawwuf is a word with no meaning and no soul; the physical experience of Tasawwuf is not there. You have to give training and you cannot give training to people today. Can you put someone in khalwah for forty days? They will object, saying, “O I have to care for my father, my mother, my children, my home, I have work,” etc. If the order comes to go into seclusion for six or nine months, or one year or five years, like Grandshaykh (q) went into seclusion, not talking to anyone, not looking at anyone, not eating but seven olives and one piece of bread in a day? Then some say, “Tasawwuf is deviant.” No, it is not deviant, but they view it that way because Tasawwuf is not being practiced as it should be; there are only lectures and now ‘shaykhs’ are only putting some psychological and technical words together like Deepak Chopra, using fascinating words, but nothing works!

And may Allah (swt) dress us with what He dressed His awliya and with what He dressed His anbiya. That is why they brought you here today! After this enough, closing. You cannot get more from their hearts, they are closing now, you cannot get more!

Wa min Allahi ‘t-tawfeeq, bi hurmati ‘l-habeeb, bi hurmati ‘l-Fatihah.

Inshaa-Allah your problems will be solved. You will be happy because we were happy and Allah opened these knowledges. You will be happy and inshaa-Allah your problems will be solved and your obstacles will go away! You did not come here for free (you gave something) and you will receive a lot and go.
